A Special Talent--February 2009

Spencer has a "special talent" of hurting himself. The new rental house has a lot of slippery wood floors that I wish I could blame for most of his injuries, but most of these bumps and cuts didn't happen because of the floor. In about 2 weeks time we have glued his forehead twice. He also has a large bump on the left side of his forehead that is slowly healing because he has now hit it a couple of times in the same place. The first thing he says now when he falls and hits his head is "it's okay, it's not bleeding". Poor child! We are hoping his coordination improves soon!

Fisher was the same way, before he was two he had 1 broken colar bone, 1 broken wrist, and 3 sets of stitches. Since then he's only had an avg of one major injury per year. Gotta love 'em! BTW, glad you are hitting it off with the Johnsons and please remember, their behavior is in no way a reflection of us, just because we are related.

Just means he'll be one tough teenager. Maybe he'll need to take up boxing as he'll already be used to taking "hits" to the head. ;)

Hey Anna! Thanks for the comment on my blog. Your little family is growing up so much! And Joshua is such a sweetheart. I'm glad Spencer is still up to his same old shenanigans... He's such a little stud. Are you guys gonna be buying a house soon? I'm a little jealous of the Maxfield's! :) Not that you would be... Just curious if you'll be moving soon - and if you like Boise enough to stay. HOpe all is well.

Hmmm. Accident prone, eh? That's what they all say. Spencer, you can come live with us anytime if Soph doesn't stop beating on you!
