Grandma and Grandpa Grange's Visit in June 2007

We had a fabulous time with Grandma and Grandpa Grange this week. We went to the Alligator Farm and the Castillo de San Marco in St. Augustine. It was really fun and really hot and humid.

St. Augustine--May 19, 2007

We had such a great time this weekend. We drove down to St. Augustine--oldest city in US. It was so fun and there was so much to do. We thought we would be able to get it all in in one day--not even close.

Sophie and Mackay at the base of the Lighthouse. Danny and the older two kids toured a light house while Spence and I had a little nap in the car.

This Indian man was at the fountain of youth. He was so odd. Anyway--he painted Sophia's face like Pocohontas. She thought it was pretty cool.

Here it is folks. The famous Fountain of Youth. They gave us all a drink and I didn't feel any younger or have anymore energy. The water had a strong sulfer taste to it, Delicious!!

This is the coolest peacock I have ever seen. I didn't even know there were white peacocks. It was just walking around the grounds at the fountain of youth.

We visited the Castillo de San Marcos. It was a cool old fort. It was made of this stuff called cochina, which is like cement mixed with tiny shells. The day we went was the anniversary of the English taking over posession from the Spanish. They had people dressed in uniforms and they shot off the cannon a couple of times. Talk about cool--it was so loud.

Mackay and Sophia at the original city gates of St. Augustine.

Everyone in front of a replica of an old ship.
