Office Chair

Sophie and Spencer spend a lot of time together. They love sitting on the office chair and spinning here are some funny pics.

Sophia's Birthday Party February 17, 2007

Sophia wanted to have a Princess Party again this year. I was not altogether thrilled about the idea. I kept pushing the bowling alley, but no go. The party turned out fun. We had 12 kids there counting Mackay and Spencer and it was crazy! She wanted to invite more but I finally drew the line. Next time I will draw it a little sooner. We had a dance party, played who can find the pea, duck, duck goose and even had a surprise performace from Danny. That's what happens when you under-plan. Sophia had a wonderful time!

Everyone scarfing their frozen pizza before the guest arrive.

The Royal Crown Cake.

Sophia opening Granny and Grandpa Waite's birthday gift to her. More dress up, Oh Yeah, Uh-huh!

Everyone enjoying their cake. Mackay of course giving bunny ears--he is such a joker!

Sophia blowing out her candles. Sitting by her two good friends Ellie K. and Abby.

Sophie and Ellie. She really wanted a picture of her and Ellie together. They are friends from preschool.

The whole gang, minus two boys who came a little late. This was just after all the girls got their princess makeovers.

Our New/Old Piano

I keep forgetting to put a picture of our piano up. We got a great deal on this piano--free. It cost us to tune it and I made a cover for the seat. All together is cost us $90! What a bargin. Cliff I know you are proud of me for being so cheap! The past couple of days I have found Spencer just sitting on the seat hangn' out. He loves to climb and has already tried to get to the top of the piano--he hasn't made it yet. I'm still to quick for him.

Valentines Day 2007

We had a fun Valentines Day. Some of our friends had a death in their family so we had one of Sophia's friends staying with us. She thought this was a 4 day party. The kids all had their school parties and Danny helped Sophia and Abby decorate the basement with balloons and crate paper while I went to the Grocery store. This worked well for me. You'll have to ask Danny how he felt about the deal. We had some great food for dinner--Grilled steaks and shrimp, baked potatoes, fresh green beans and chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. We were stuffed!

Spencer is turing into such a litttle boy! Where does the time go?

Sophia and her friend Abby

Mackay is so photogenic and is always ready to stike a pose.

Danny showing his muscles as he takes a break from the computer. He would probably kill me if he knew I was posting this. Which is one of the reasons blogging is so much fun.

Mackay's 2nd Grade Research Report

Mackay had to do a research report on an endangered animal. He did a great job doing research and learning all about Manatees. I was really impressed! This is the visual aide he made for his report.

Spencer playing Dress up

Spencer loves playing in Sophia's room, mostly because she doesn't kick him out like Mackay. One day he came out all made over by his sister. He was laughing and running around he thought it was so fun. Here are just a few photos I could snap.

Family Game Night December 26, 2006

We got a bunch of new games for Christmas this year. We played Balloon Lagoon--except Sophie. She started loosing and couldn't take it so she cried in her room for awhile. We also played Zigity and Pretty, Pretty, Princesses. We finally got Sophia to rejoin the group by playing her new Princess game. Danny and Mackay were good sports and joined in the fun. We played the game twice and of course Danny and Mackay were crowned Princesses.

Mackay just won the crown. He is looking pretty stoked. He ran away and wouldn't let me take his picture when he was crowned the Princess.

Sophia enjoying her lovely earrings.

Mackay looking gorgeous!

Danny gazing into the mirror as he is being crowned the PRETTY, PRETTY Princess. What a fun Dad!

Bella Dance-a-rella December 26, 2006

Santa brought Sophia bella dance-a-rella Swan Lake and a new dance outfit. She sure looks sweet but oh so spicy! Mackay and I had to do the dance video with her because she was scared--whatever! Most things turn out to be complicated and very emotional lately with Sophie. So we all did bella with her and their was peace once again. Oh, and her doll also got a new dance out fit too.

Christmas Morning

The kids were awsome and let us sleep in somewhat on Christmas Morning. We had a great morning opening presents and eating cinnamon pull apart bread. After opening presents we all got dressed and headed over to some friends of ours for dinner. We had a delicious ham dinner and kids and parents had a great time socializing. The worst part of the day was coming home from our friends house because the front room, okay the whole house, was bombed. Oh well, Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

We had our usual snack night with the family, followed by our talent show. Which turned out great. Mackay kept us going for awhile. He kept coming up with more talents he could show us. My personal favorite was the musical arm farts and leg farts. It just makes a mother proud. Sophia sang a couple of songs for us, I played the piano and Danny played the guitar. We read Luke 2 and this year we checked out the flannel board figures from the Library at church. It worked out great until Spence wanted to help. He kept taking the figures off the board. Mackay and Sophia didn't like this too much as you can imagine. All in all it was a great night.

Gingerbread Houses--December 22, 2006

Today I was feeling pretty sick because of a sinus infection and of course there was no school. The kids were dying of boredum so we decided to make gingerbread houses. They did a pretty good job!

LaCrosse Children's Museum--December 16, 2006

While Danny's parents were here in December we took a drive to LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The kids had a great time playing at the Children's Museum there.

Mackay playing a larger version of Operation.

Sophia had a great time trying on all of the beautiful dress up clothes. She and Mackay even danced a little jig on the dance floor.

Spencer and Danny having fun sendin the boats down the river.

December 18, 2006

The kids were so excited to open their presents from Grandma and Grandpa Grange. It was a dream come true that Christmas could come a week early.

Sophia opening her Cinderella Barbie.

Mackay and Danny playing with Mackay's new transformers.

Spencer getting a little help from his brother and sister. He was a pro at opening presents by the time Christmas rolled around.

Nutcracker--December 7, 2006

Sophia, Spencer and I were able to go with Mackay's second grade class to the Nutcracker Ballet. It was so fun. Sophia was in pig heaven because she has been taking a ballet class. Spencer did really good for the first hour and a half, but the last half hour I was in and out of the auditorium. Mackay even had a great time. His class learned about how to be a good audience and it was so fun to hear him giving me pointers.

Christmas Carnival December 2, 2006

This was Sophia's first year to talk to Santa. She told him she wanted a Little Mermaid Dress up.

Spencer did not like the fat man this year, as you can see.

Granny and Grandpa sent the kids some presents for Thanksgiving. They loved their new books and their Reindeer.
