Grandma and Grandpa Grange's Visit in June 2007

We had a fabulous time with Grandma and Grandpa Grange this week. We went to the Alligator Farm and the Castillo de San Marco in St. Augustine. It was really fun and really hot and humid.

St. Augustine--May 19, 2007

We had such a great time this weekend. We drove down to St. Augustine--oldest city in US. It was so fun and there was so much to do. We thought we would be able to get it all in in one day--not even close.

Sophie and Mackay at the base of the Lighthouse. Danny and the older two kids toured a light house while Spence and I had a little nap in the car.

This Indian man was at the fountain of youth. He was so odd. Anyway--he painted Sophia's face like Pocohontas. She thought it was pretty cool.

Here it is folks. The famous Fountain of Youth. They gave us all a drink and I didn't feel any younger or have anymore energy. The water had a strong sulfer taste to it, Delicious!!

This is the coolest peacock I have ever seen. I didn't even know there were white peacocks. It was just walking around the grounds at the fountain of youth.

We visited the Castillo de San Marcos. It was a cool old fort. It was made of this stuff called cochina, which is like cement mixed with tiny shells. The day we went was the anniversary of the English taking over posession from the Spanish. They had people dressed in uniforms and they shot off the cannon a couple of times. Talk about cool--it was so loud.

Mackay and Sophia at the original city gates of St. Augustine.

Everyone in front of a replica of an old ship.

Disney World

Here are a few pics from Disney World. We all had a great time. Although, after the first day Danny and I were wondering if we could do another day of walking. Our feet were so sore. We ended up having just as much fun the second day.

Shrip Festival--Amelia Island May 2007

We traveled about a hour north of Jacksonville to Amelia Island for the Shrimp festival. We saw pirates storm the beach, toured a shrimp boat and a coast guard boat (cool machine guns!), and saw a bunch of different live crabs. Oh and ate some fabulous shirmp--shrimp twisters and shrimp burgers.

Spencer driving the shrimp boat.

One of the things we notice most in Florida are all the different birds. This pelican was really close to the kids. It is amazing how big those birds are.

Our First Trip to the Beach May 2007

This was our first trip to the beach after we arrived in Jacksonville. The kids had such a great time playing in the waves. It was great to see their surprise when they tasted the salty water. I loved being at the beach. The time would pass so fast. The only down side to the beach is how much sand comes home with you. The bath mat was always caked in sand after a day at the beach.

Nashville Tennesse April 28, 2007

On our way to Jacksonville, Fl we stopped in Nashville for a few days to visit mom and dad. The kids had a great time--they were just glad to not be in the car. Mackay also had a blast hanging out with his uncle. Notice how Mackay's hair changes while we are in Florida.

Easter Sunday

Mackay and Spencer on Easter Morning. Sophia didn't make it into the picture. She had an emotional breakdown beacause her white shoes had some scuff marks on them. Oh the drama.
